$100 MILLION PROJECT HALTED DUE TO 34 TREES |
|
| |
BY THE NUMBERS - $100 MILLION / 34 TREES = $2,941,176 per tree A $100 million subdivision development near Queenstown has been stopped and has lost its resource consent because the developer cut down 34 mature protected willow trees. The council had been surprised at the harshness of the decision "because literally the penalty is that the developer can't obtain titles and can't press on. Probably the biggest thing from the council's point of view is that it's a really major reminder to developers that they have to read the fine print in their resource consents and make sure they comply with it". HINTS AND TIPS - SERVER FILE SIZE LIMITS Some members of the CS-VUE community have experienced difficulty uploading files larger than 10 megabytes (10MB) into CS-VUE. This is most likely because many corporate servers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) limit document file sizes to 10MB. We suggest the following: • Split your file up into “bite size chunks” to reduce individual file sizes • Compress or Zip large files to make them smaller • Contact the CS-VUE Support Team and we will upload the data on your behalf |

CS-VUE ENHANCEMENT - BROWSE BY PHASE In order to make your CS-VUE experience even more efficient, we have implemented a Search by Phase filter for when you are browsing your consents. The benefit of this new enhancement is that it allows you to quickly identify which consents are related to different phases. A simple improvement to provide users with easier auditing and forward planning ability. |
