We are always keen to receive feedback and ideas for potential enhancements. In response to requests from clients, CS-VUE has been enhanced to allow the attachment of more than one document when Signing-Off, or Snoozing, a condition. This feature will be released in early November. At the same time, the Sign-Off and Snooze windows have been separated out to reduce the risk of errors.
The Consent Report and Compliance Reports have also been enhanced to show, against each conditions, the users who have:
(1) condition responsibility,
(2) added notes or attachments, or
(3) signed-off or snoozed a condition.
Please note:
As part of these changes, the Compliance Report has been made the only place from where the sign-off (or snooze) of a condition can be undertaken; these actions can no longer be accessed from the Consent Report.
We are now working on an enhancement of the Projects function, again in response to client feedback and in line with our own product development goals. |

$160,000, $55,000, $30,000, & $20,000 are just some examples of the fines handed down in the Courts and by Regional Councils this month for breaches of resource consent conditions.
Also, a Waikato company which unlawfully buried illegal toxic chemicals in a way that risks them getting into waterways has been found guilty of charges laid by Environment Waikato under the Resource Management Act.
The decision recently released by Environment Court Judge Fred McElrea is a disaster for Wallace Corp and its managers.
Two managers may well go to jail for their negligence and they and the company also face fines that could total almost $9 million. In his decision Judge McElrea commented several times that court action was avoidable at several stages over the past decade had the company's managers decided on a different course of action. Wallace Corporation's being found guilty of this charge in the Auckland District Court follows the company having previously been found guilty of a range of other unrelated environmental offences between 1997 and 2004.
